Installation

Clone the Repository#

Receive the source from the seller (private repo invite or a zip archive), then clone or unzip it into your projects folder.

git clone <your-repo-url> saas-starter-kit
cd saas-starter-kit

Install Dependencies (separately)#

Run pnpm install inside EACH project folder — a single install from the repository root is not possible.

# terminal 1 — backend
cd backend
pnpm install

# terminal 2 — frontend
cd frontend
pnpm install

Project Scripts#

Package managers: pnpm (as used by the maintainer) or npm work equally — npm install / npm run dev behave the same. Use only one per project (do not mix pnpm-lock and package-lock).

Editor Setup#

1. 1

   Install VS Code extensions

   Prettier — formatting rules live in backend/.prettierrc; set Prettier as the default formatter and enable "format on save".

   Enable ESLint

   The backend ships backend/eslint.config.js (ESLint 9 flat config); the frontend uses eslint-config-next.

3. 3

   Backend env autocomplete (optional)

   Install the "DotENV" extension so .env files are highlighted — helpful when filling layout backend/.env files.
